Dr Wayne Tinsey

 

Wayne Tinsey is an Australian educator, international speaker, leadership consultant and spiritual guide whose work centres on inspiring, supporting and celebrating our shared humanity.

 

With decades of experience in educational leadership, Wayne has served in some of the most senior roles within Catholic  Education in Australia. He is widely respected for his ability to articulate vision, cultivate mission-driven leadership and inspire educators and leaders to lead with purpose, compassion and integrity.

 

Wayne is the Founder and Leading Voice of Our Common Heart, an initiative dedicated to nurturing personal growth, spiritual awareness and leadership development. Through keynote presentations, writing, retreats, mentoring and consultancy, he supports educators, leaders and communities seeking deeper meaning, stronger mission and authentic leadership.

 

Earlier in his career, Wayne served as Executive Director of Edmund Rice Education Australia, providing strategic leadership to a national network of 54 schools. Prior to this he was Director of Schools for the Catholic Schools Office in the Diocese of Newcastle, overseeing system leadership and educational strategy across the diocesan school network.

 

Wayne has also made a significant contribution internationally as Founder and Global Ambassador of Edmund Rice Education Beyond Borders, establishing a collaborative network of more than 245 schools across 24 countries and delivering  formation and keynote presentations around the world. Wayne works comfortably in both English and Spanish.

 

In the academic sphere, Wayne served as Professor and Head of the School of Religious Education at the University of Notre Dame Australia, and as Director of the Catholic Institute of Western Australia, providing leadership in theological education and spiritual formation through Edith Cowan University and Curtin University.

 

His work today integrates inspirational speaking, leadership coaching, spiritual accompaniment and formation, helping individuals and communities reconnect with purpose, service and the deeper meaning of their lives and work.
